5 Ways MLMs are Different Than They Used to Be

#1-MLM Options

MLMs are not anything new. They have been around for a very long time. Options used to limit what types of companies you could join. But that is no longer the case. You can now find an MLM to fit any interest you have. Since there are more options available, it means anyone can find an MLM that fits into their lifestyle.

For me, Seint was the perfect fit because they have innovative products that I already used and loved. I also loved that being a part of Seint makes it easy for women to set up an online business of their own.

#2-Incorporate a Personal Brand

In the past, the focus was on selling the “name” of the MLM. Now, people are joining MLMs but creating their own personal brands. They sell a brand that fits into their lifestyle and pair it with something they enjoy doing. This means people are pairing things like makeup and travel, minimalism and home products, or even health/wellness with cooking. It has definitely become a game-changer when the people selling the products become the brand instead of the MLM company itself.

#3-Access to an Online Audience

When looking at MLMs I think the biggest difference from how things used to be is access to an online audience. MLMs used to focus on selling to friends and family and in-person contacts. But the internet and social media have changed everything. Now there are no geographical limits to who can see and buy products from you. New audiences are available as they are scrolling on their phones or working on their computers. Those selling products can easily create interest with their audience without having to push for sales. Instead, they simply share what products they use to make their lives easier every day and how those products can solve problems for others. I personally use Instagram, YouTube, and my blog to share different Seint Beauty products and quick and easy makeup application techniques.  

#4-Facebook Groups are the New In-Home Parties

When people can’t “hang out” in person, they are connecting in Facebook groups, and it is a perfect way for people selling an MLM product to connect as well. The in-home Tupperware party era has been replaced with fun online parties happening in Facebook groups. It is a perfect setup for people around the world to connect, learn about new products, and the fun and learning can last much longer than a 2-hour house party. The focus has changed from getting an immediate sale to curating meaningful long-term connections. I love that I have been able to develop and maintain connections with my customers beyond an initial in-person meeting. My customers have become some of my dearest friends, and we continue to connect as an incredible community on social media. 

#5-Emphasis On Sales vs Recruitment

While recruitment is part of an MLM business, the focus of recruiting has changed. Individuals joining an MLM are not just signed up underneath someone and left on their own. Now when joining an MLM, people gain a team of people who want to help them succeed. Many teams have retreats and regular Zoom check-ins where people are connecting as they work towards having a successful business. It has become less about being a number and more about having success. Since starting with Seint, I have had the privilege of building a team, and I love getting the opportunity to help other women achieve their goals and avoid the mistakes I made when I first got started.

How to Purchase Seint Without a Color Match

These days, it is not uncommon for people to have a side hustle or two that allows them to pursue a passion, while also making some extra money. Having multiple streams of income is becoming more and more desirable, and the options for doing this are ever-growing. It is no secret that I am a lawyer as well as a Seint artist. And while I love being a Seint Artist, social selling can get a bad rap. The last thing we want to do is annoy our friends and family when talking about our own business. But, your social selling business doesn’t have to be that way. Here are 3 ways to build a social selling business without bugging your friends.

What is Social Selling?

First off, what is social selling? Social selling is using social media as a way to share about your business and products, and in turn, generate sales. It allows you to interact with your customers in a more personal way by building connections and rapport with a larger audience in a faster amount of time.

Most people with social selling businesses start their side hustle with the help and support of friends and family. It’s natural to share about the products and the business with the individuals that support you the most. But it is important that they don’t get overwhelmed with your business endeavors. Instead, show up for your larger audience that chooses to be a part of your community.

1-Know “You” and Your Business Community

Start by asking yourself two questions. 1) Why did you start your social selling business? And 2) Who do you serve? For me, I saw freedom in being able to provide even more for my family, while helping women embrace their beauty. When I started with Seint Beauty I was in (and still am in) a very busy season of life. But I longed for connection, purpose, and creativity. Over the years, I have been able to build a community full of other women like me who are looking for a faster and easier makeup routine and/or an extra stream of income to further their goals and dreams.

Knowing who my people are, helps me know how to focus on business growth and find people to serve outside my inner circle of friends. Knowing “your people” will help you too. Proper social selling is about finding more like-minded individuals for your customer base. Ones that will benefit from what you have to offer, and will show up and support you on your journey.

2-Provide Value

Social selling is less about selling and more about sharing something you love, and then showing your audience and customer base how the products and/or business can solve a problem for them. When you show up and serve your audience with valuable content, they will in turn show up for you as a loyal and dedicated follower/customer. Having a service-minded mindset as a business owner will not only benefit your customers, but will grow your business in a way that nothing else can.

2-Be Genuine

The last way to build a social business without bugging your friends is to be genuine. Show up as your true and authentic self, and like-minded individuals will gravitate towards you.

Bella Bronzer vs Contour

Bella Bronzer from Seint Beauty is not the same product as Seint’s Contours. To begin with, the formulas are different. When you look at a Contour shade next to the Bella Bronzer, you will see that the Contours have an ashy/grey base to them. In contrast, the Bronzer has a lot more warmth to it. This is for good reason. When we are contouring our face, we are creating and accentuating shadows. This gives our faces dimension and allows us to sculpt our features. But with Bella Bronzer, we are merely adding warmth and a little dimension to our face in the areas that are normally sun-kissed. 

Contour is placed where the natural shadows fall on our face: under our cheekbones, along our jawline, and at the edges of our forehead and nose. Bronzer, however, is placed across our cheeks and forehead. You can even put a little bit on the tip of our nose and chin. This will give your skin a pretty, sun-kissed glow. Bronzer should only be placed in the areas where you would normally get extra color from the sun.

Why I love Bella Bronzer’s Cream Formula

So many Bronzers on the market today are powders. But if you have never tried a cream bronzer, then you are missing out! I love the natural effect you get from the cream formula of the Bella Bronzer. It blends and melts into your skin beautifully, making it actually look like your skin! I also love how easy it is to blend into your other makeup. When you use a powder bronzer, it can be hard to apply it in a way that doesn’t leave you with orange-y stripes on each side of your face because you can’t get it to blend into your liquid foundation.

How I Wear Bella Bronzer for Summer

When I’m trying to add a sun-kissed glow to my skin for the summer (or even into the fall), I always use my Blush/Bronzer brush. This brush is double-ended and works great for blush and Bronzer. I love to use the smaller end of the brush to apply my blush and the larger, fluffier end to apply Bronzer. 

I apply my Bronzer across my cheeks and nose, along my forehead, and even across my collarbone and neck. It’s a great way to add color without damaging my skin with the sun. And again, if you feel like you’ve applied too much Bronzer you can always blend it more with your brush until you reach your desired look! How To Use Seint Brow Wax

When we are talking about everything you need to know about brow wax, we have to talk about how to use it. The Line Brush from Seint is the best brush to use on your eyebrows. (For more on my favorite makeup brushes, check out this post here.) Before using Brow Wax, use the flat, angled end of the brush to fill in your eyebrows with your desired color. I recommend using a matte brown Seint Eyeshadow in your desired color (I like Trust!) to fill in your eyebrows. After you’ve filled in your eyebrows, you’ll add the wax to fluff up your hairs for a more natural look.

The other end of the Line Brush is called a spoolie. Make sure the spoolie is clean before you use it. (I like using Seint Brush Cleanser to clean my brushes.) You want to remove any built-up wax or product from previous uses to ensure your brows are perfect each time.

Use Setting Spray or water to wet your spoolie. Rub the spoolie into the brow wax and make sure it is well coated. Once you’ve got the wax on the spoolie, use soft, upward flicking motions on your brows to distribute the wax into the hair. This sets the hair in place in an upward motion and gives your brows more definition and shape. If you find that moving the position of your brow hair has exposed more areas that need to be filled in, you can add in a little more color to those areas at this point.

What is Demi Colour?

In case you need a refresher, Demi Colour by Seint Beauty is a revolutionary approach to makeup and makeup application. As I stated above, Demi Colour works with your natural beauty by using color science to bring out your best features. How does Demi Colour for Medium Skin work?

Demi Colour for Medium Skin works by filtering out your skin distractions. These may include melasma, dark undereye circles, blemishes, sun damage, etc. Once you’ve narrowed in on the specific distractions you want to neutralize, you will need to determine what the “excess color” of the distractions is. Then, you will use the color wheel to select a complementary color from your Demi Colour for Medium Skin palette. Once your distraction is filtered, your natural beauty will shine through once again!

Color Codes for Demi Colours

Demi Colour uses a color code for each of the shades that are offered. Since Demi Colour uses the color wheel to filter out distractions on your skin, the shades use corresponding letters for each shade group. 

• R= Red
• O= Orange
• Y= Yellow
• G= Green
• B= Blue
• V= Violet 

If you see 2 colors together, that shade contains both of those colors. For instance, OR is a shade that contains both Orange and Red. 

Beyond the letter codes, Demi Colour also utilizes numbers to define the saturation of each color shade. These numbers go from 1 to 7 with 1 being the least saturated and 7 being the most. 1 color shades brighten the skin and 3-7’s build color while also filtering distractions. I love to use these shades to add a natural flush to my cheeks. 

What Colors and Shades are good for Medium Skin Tones?
